Understand and prepare
This experience of Patrice Salib's journey with the Reymann teams emphasizes collaborative uses. When migrating, appointments, shares and devices must be prepared as carefully as message boxes.
Resource reservations, shared calendars, and delegations connect multiple people. When restarting, an accessible box is therefore not enough to validate operation. You must identify who creates the appointment, who can modify it and how it appears to the people concerned. These situations become test cases with users: invitation, modification, visibility of a resource and access from the intended devices.
A usage can behave differently in the webmail and in a calendar application. The diagnosis brings together the device, the count, the action and the observed result. This comparison helps stakeholders to situate the problem. The synchronization adjustments encountered in this project highlight the value of a matrix of the intended devices and uses. It provides support for testing and allows for monitoring situations that still require intervention.
An inventory of collective accounts and addresses, a list of shares and pilot users prepare migration. The checks then cover the uses chosen, beyond the volume of messages taken. Monitoring distinguishes what is being tested, what is accepted and what still requires intervention. In a current project, Cloudlab prepares the hosting component and Agedis accompanies the accounts, posts and aircraft, according to the scope defined together.
