Agedis · system support

Support uses.

An exchange with the people who use the tools helps to clarify the need, prepare accesses and verify return to work. Agedis, Cloudlab, carries this competence systems.

Equipment and connections

Prepare the connection.

Identifying the port and link before connecting equipment helps track dependencies and prepare for interventions. The on-site network component then meets the needs for access to hosted services.

Identification and monitoring

Keep connections readable.

Orderly mixing and identified links facilitate reading of equipment. This knowledge helps stakeholders find connections and prepare a change with the right information.

Preparing the infrastructure component

Reymann : read the infrastructure with production constraints.

Patrice journey with the Reymann teams · 2015–2017

Editorial production depends on its files, applications and the availability of resources that link them. The project exchanges address network cores, ESX hosts, Fibre Channel storage and equipment connections. Patrice participate in the understanding of this architecture and in the coordination of stakeholders.

The big picture is used to locate dependencies: where the data is located, how machines access it and what elements should be examined when a service encounters a difficulty. The replication diagnosis discussed in 2017 notably addresses time synchronization between sites.

This experience brings a useful discipline to your project: representing the services and their connections, specifying the controls, then distinguishing an applied change from verified operation in usage.

Clestra: prepare the environment with the host and the web team.

International Clestra project · Patrice with Reymann · SDV provides accommodation · 2022

The new Clestra site brings together the company, the agency and a hosting partner. The server is set up at SDV. Patrice contributes to the technical coordination and preparation of access conditions, so that the project team can intervene in the planned environment.

In this type of file, each contribution must join the next: the host prepares its environment, the application specialist knows the needs of the site and the company validates authorizations and priorities. Coordination provides a framework for discussions and makes it possible to find out who is speaking on what subject.

The same care applies to a project that you prepare today with Cloudlab: gather the prerequisites of your agency or your publisher, organize access to the system and check important functions together before commissioning.

Concrete missions, teams involved

An app to welcome, a journey to prepare together.

The starting point is your business: the people who use the software, the data to be found and the periods when you need the service.

01

The first exchange provides a framework.

You describe the application, the users and what leads you to review the hosting: evolution, moving a server or need a clearer support. We identify the publisher, the administrator and the people who will be able to verify the usages.

02

Dependencies become a staging file.

The project brings together the versions, the database, the documents, the planned processing and the exchanges with the other tools. Access, prior backups, data to be retrieved and return conditions are specified with the stakeholders concerned.

03

The environment is checked before the switchover.

The controls are chosen according to the service provided: opening a file, consulting a document, producing a document or retrieving an exchange. Agedis prepares the agreed system; the publisher or Dtouch verifies the application part of its scope.

04

Monitoring concerns the result used.

Connection and return to work are verified with the people concerned. Open points are kept with their sequence. You will find the contacts for hosting, the system and the application, as well as the elements useful for the next development.

A human relay for systems.

The availability of an environment and the return to use require verifications at several levels. The role of Agedis is to prepare and support the system; Cloudlab covers the data center and hosting component defined for the project.

You have a clear reading of the contributions, with a follow-up of what has been verified and the topics to be pursued with your editor or integrator.
